At the moment of inception, when I conceived the QUARTAL BOARD, I had a music keyboard that would relate to the QUARTAL GUITAR. All of the scale and chord, melody and harmony patterns would transfer between the QB and the QG. Then the serendipity began-a list of QB keypad possibilities:
3 key X 3 key (2″x 2″ key chain)–tic tac toe related music games (tic tac Q), contains every interval in a diatonic scale;
5X5 (3.5″x3.5″)–2 octave chromatic scale, five finger chord and scale practice possibilities;
8X8 (7″x7″)–3.5 octaves, directly relates to the Quartal Guitar;
9X9 (7.5″x7,5″)–4 octaves, can utilize beginning-intermediate piano methods and literature, the center key is middle C;
13X13 (9″x9″)–6 octaves, pro.,middle C is the center key;
17X17 (12″x12″)–8 octaves.
ALL SIZES ARE CAPABLE OF SEVERAL MODEL LEVELS OF PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE.
